“This bed and breakfast beats all. We wanted to stay in Lewiston for our daughter’s graduation from Bates College—but everything was booked. Now we know it was meant to be. It is so beautiful here and the accommodations are immaculate and lovely. We hope you are here a long time—we will be back. Thank you for your gracious hospitality.” - Ipswich, MA

Maine has an ever changing offering of indoor and outdoor activities. Each season
brings unique ways to explore our extraordinary setting of lakes and
mountains in Western Maine. Wolf Cove Inn is a great spot from which
to cast off for your daily outings. In summer, you may just want to
stay and enjoy our lakefront setting. Launch one of our Canoes or
Kayaks right from our private sandy beach area to paddle around
Tripp Lake. Swim in the crystal clear water or just relax in one of
our many chairs or the hammock swing in the boathouse gazebo.
Day trips opportunities are almost endless, there are state parks
with walking trails, a wildlife park and zoo, a mining camp, Casino, Golfing and much
more. Western Maine is heralded for its great hiking spots. Our
surrounding lakes offer boat rentals, or guided boat tours including
the scenic Songo Queen, or you can take to the skies for a seaplane
ride. Maine farms with livestock, gardens, orchards and farm stores
like Pineland Farms offers tours and the chance to pick your own
fruit and vegetables.
Visit a classic county fair or go to the race track at Oxford Plains
Speedway. In the fall, pick apples amid the brilliant fall foliage,
get your pumpkin and find your way out of a Corn Maze.
In winter, you can explore Maine on ice-skates, or snow by touring
on cross country skis. There are several Nordic centers nearby with
groomed trails and equipment available, or you can go alpine skiing
at Mount Abram, Sunday River and Lost Valley.
Here are a few favorite things to do while staying at Wolf Cove Inn:
Kayaking and Canoeing –right from our private sandy beach with one
of our kayaks or canoes.
Fishing - Right from our dock on Tripp Lake. Or use one of our
Kayaks or Canoes. Maine residents under 16 years of age and
nonresidents under 12 years of age may fish without a license. Dept
of Fisheries fees
Boat Rentals - Nearby Thompson Lake Marina rents motor boats and
sells fishing licenses.
Visit The NEW Oxford Casino offering slots, table games, and dining. Just five miles North of Wolf CoveInn.
Go Golfing... at any of the fine local golf courses.
